Task 3- Conventions of an opening sequence

In this task, we had to analyse the opening sequence to a coming of age film and talk about the mise en scene, camera and angles, lighting and sound. we had to do this on about 11 different shots from an opening scene to see what and why the director starts the film with and why ertain things are added.

Learning comment

From doing this activity, i have learnt how music, things in the shot and lighting can make an idea in the audiences minds of what the film is going to be about. Also, i have gained an idea of how i could do things for my opening sequence and what effect this would have on the audience.
