Preliminary Task
In this task, we had to film and edit a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character where they would exchange a few lines. We had to think about how we could include match on action, shot/reverse shot and also the 180 degree rule.

From this task i have learnt how to link all three techniques we have been currrently been using and apply yhem all into a short film. I have also realised that if they were all the same shots, the audience would become bored as there is no other type of shot. From planning this task, I learnt that when i open a door, i have to stay incredibly still so that the camera man can move to the next shot and i stay the same so it links. From filming, i learnt to walk at the same pace in every shot so it looks like we have a lot of cameras, this makes it have a seamless effect were it all runs smoothly. When editing this short film, i learnt that some shots were to long and that i had to cut them down, missing out soe doors and other little things.

Some things didnt go so well, when we were doing it, i stared smiling a lot and in the next shot i had a straight face, this looked wrong when we came to edit, next time we would film the whole part again so itt was exactly how we wanted it. Also looking back, we see the camera man in a reflection on the glass. This looked bad and to ensure it wouldn't happen again, we would make the camera man to either get a different angle or lower down so it would be impossible to see.
